Sunday 30th July 2017 – Blidworth Parish Cuncil Summer Gala

Blidworth Parish Council held a Summer Gala on Sunday (30th July) at the Blidworth Miners Welfare.  The event was very well attended and was a great family day out………Fortunately the weather stayed dry.

There was a variety of stalls, catering outlets and charity Tombola’s.   There were Children’s activities, trampolines and rides and Jerry Green Dog Rescue held a fun Dog show which attracted a variety of fury friends.

They also held a ‘Great Blidworth Bake Off’ where a variety of cakes were displayed, sampled and then auctioned off.  The Parish Council are sending all proceeds from the event to ‘A Dollar for Dawson’ and have raised £470.

Blidworth In Bloom 2017 –  Blidworth Parish Council are very pleased to announce that they have scooped a 'Silver Gilt Award' for the Village at this years ‘East Midlands in Bloom 2017'.

Many thanks to Christine Dabbs and her volunteers for all their hard work.

If anyone is able and willing to help with tidying, planting and looking after our Village then please get in touch.  Without the financial help of the Parish Council and the hard work and dedication from Volunteers our Village would not look as fabulous as it does.

Donations towards this project are also gratefully received.
